Course description: This program aims to provide the practitioner with the tools, knowledge and skills to best assist a client who is facing a civil operating privilege suspension or enhanced criminal penalties for allegedly refusing a request for chemical testing after being arrested for DUI, with emphasis on the initial client interview, trial preparation, use of expert witnesses, and judicial proceedings. Topics will also include commercial driver license holders, the legal sufficiency of the refusal form and other matters of concern particular to refusal cases.
